To Create an Alarm Rule in mKC, you must first register a target. In Target, you can register the recipients to receive alarms when they are triggered.
Creating Target
First, click Create Target on the Target list to access the Create Target page.
Creating Target with Default Recipient Type
Select the recipient type you want to create, and enter the email or address accordingly, to receive the alarms. When you register a target as the recipient of an alarm rule, the alarm will be sent to the entered email or address.

Adding Custom HTTP Headers (Slack)
When you are sending alarms to Slack, you can include information in the HTTP header.
- Check Add Custom HTTP Headers
- Click the Add Header button in the Custom HTTP Headers section
- Enter the Key and Value to be sent in the header
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you have completed the header data to be sent
Creating Target with Custom Recipient Type
First, select the custom recipient type you want to create.
After selecting the recipient type, add the target to send the alarm to or tags. When creating multiple targets with the same custom recipient type, make use of tags to distinguish them.
When distinguishing the targets that were created with recipient types provided by mKC, you can do so by their sending address. However, for custom recipient types, you cannot distinguish targets with the same target address from the Target list. So if you are creating multiple targets with the same custom recipient type, please use tags to differentiate the targets.
If there are field values that need modification in the header or body to be sent to targets, please modify them.
How to Edit a Field
- Select the field you want to edit in the Fields Tree.
- In the Fields Edit section for the selected field, enter the values to change, and click on the [Edit] button at the bottom of the Fields Edit section.
- Repeat step 2 until you are done editing all the fields you want.
In creating/editing targets, you cannot change the values for fields, that were set as fixed when the custom recipient type was created. For targets, you can only edit field values that were not set as fixed, and you cannot add or delete fields.
Once you are done filling in all the information to be sent to targets, click on the [Create] button to complete the creation.
✨ Now, you can send alarms in the alarm rules to the targets you have created!
Deleting Target
You can delete a target that you no longer use. When deleted, the target will be removed from any group or alarm rule it was registered in. Either select the targets you want to delete and click Delete # Target , or click on the [Trash Can Icon] button that appears on the right of each row when you hover your mouse over the list, to delete the selected target.
