Recipients are the people who will receive the alarms. Once you register a recipient, they will receive alarms according to the alarm rules you have created. System alarms are only visible on the mKC dashboard, so you need to create alarm rules if you want to send or trigger alarms based on specific conditions, to channels outside of mKC. In order to send alarms to channels other than the dashboard, you must first register the recipients.
Recipient Types
You can check the types of recipients provided by mKC or create and manage different types of recipients. For more details, please refer to the Recipient Type Management document.
mKC creates targets based on recipient types. If you want to send alarms using a recipient type that is not offered by mKC, create a custom recipient type, then create targets with that custom recipient type.
Target
A target means a single recipient who can receive alarms. For more details, please refer to the Target document.
Group
You can group registered targets into a single group. By registering a group as the recipient for an alarm rule, all targets in the group will receive the alarm. For more details, please refer to the Group document.
